Modern Dance
We are excited to announce the introduction of Modern Dance CCA at CCKPS!
This new Co-Curricular Activity offers students a vibrant and enriching
platform to discover the joy of dance while developing their artistic talents
and confidence.
Throughout the programme, students will be introduced to a diverse range
of dance genres, including Contemporary Dance, Hip Hop, Street Dance, Jazz,
Urban Choreography, and other modern dance styles. Under the guidance of
experienced instructors, they will learn fundamental dance techniques,
rhythm, musicality, body coordination, and expressive movement. Training
sessions will also provide opportunities for students to collaborate with
their peers, create choreographed performances, and showcase their skills
during school events.
Participation in Modern Dance supports the holistic development of every
child. Beyond improving physical fitness, flexibility, balance, coordination,
and strength, dance nurtures creativity, self-expression, and an appreciation
for the performing arts. Students also develop valuable life skills such
as discipline, perseverance, teamwork, resilience, and self-confidence
as they work towards mastering routines and performing together.
Whether students are exploring dance for the first time or have prior
experience, Modern Dance CCA provides an inclusive and supportive environment
where every child can grow, express themselves creatively, and develop
a lifelong appreciation for movement and the arts.
We look forward to seeing our students' creativity, passion, and confidence
shine as they embark on this exciting dance journey!
